Meyer lemons have a pure, clear, slightly sweet lemon taste. Their season runs from November through May, and they provide a great means for brightening up a winter dessert. If Meyer lemons are unavailable, use a mixture of half Eureka lemons and half oranges when making the glaze and custard.
