This is the fast version, leaving out the pig’s tail, salt beef and dumplings. The key here is to use a good beef stock and try to find some ‘ground provisions’. This soup is characteristically a Jamaican tradition, the main ingredient being callaloo greens. Made the traditional way it is hearty and filling with its cocos (eddoes), yellow yam, dumplings and meats.
