Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 6. Place the cassava in large saucepan, cover with water, add 1 tsp of salt and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the cassava is cooked and soft.
