I remember going to France on a school trip when I was at primary school and being given warm baguette and a chunk of chocolate. I think this recipe is a rewarding version for all palates.
Butter the slices of bread on one side and then toast lightly on both sides. Make 4 sandwiches with the chocolate pieces, with the buttered side on the outside (don’t put the chocolate too close to the edges of the bread or it will melt out). Toast the sandwiches until the chocolate begins to melt, then cut in half and serve immediately.
