I always felt the classic banana split was missing something texturally, so I reworked it into a combo of split, sundae, and profiterole, which is a cream puff filled with ice cream. An American classic—all grown up.
Thankfully, all of the classic sundae toppings, even the Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup, are gluten-free, so don’t hold back! If you do use another brand, be wary and consult the label or the manufacturer’s website, in case they’ve snuck gluten in somehow.
