This bread makes the best muffuletta sandwich this side of New Orleans! To try it for yourself, cut the loaf in half horizontally and top it with olive salad (a mixture of chopped olives, giardiniera, spices, garlic, and olive oil) and slices of salami, ham, mortadella, mozzarella, and provolone. (It’s great for other deli sandwiches, too, of course. I also love to make bruschetta and garlic bread with it.)
