This recipe tastes very much like traditional pickles but with the added health benefit of fermentation. Children usually like this as it is mild and sweet. Make sure to use as little salt as possible with young children and infants should have no added salt at all. However, in a brine ferment too little salt will make the vegetables go soft rather than crisp. This pickle is great to serve with any dish and of course as pickles on a mezze board or cheese board.
