This is a great condiment with a natural and spicy sweet taste. It is a super-healthy alternative to commercial ketchup, which usually contains high-fructose corn syrup, excessive sugar and salt. In this recipe, I suggest using canned or bottled tomato purée but if you prefer you can make your own, from fresh tomatoes that you have boiled down to a purée. Making your own is of course nicer but it takes longer to do. You can also use the brine-fermented whole t
