Most purists will scoff at the mention of vodka in a martini, but that’s fine! Scoff away. Gin doesn’t always get along with everyone, and I prefer the nothingness flavor of vodka. I also prefer my martini shaken, not stirred, to the point that diamond-like vodka crystals form on top when it’s poured into my chilled glass. My martini wants to be adorned with many garnishes, far more than just one skimpy olive. While this might not be the way purists serve this classic drink, it’s damn delic
