Our son, Georgie, loves to go out for “cocktails.” He tends to order a Shirley Temple (or a Roy Rogers) with a pint of cherries on the side. The kid eagerly devours the neon-toned cocktail fruits, while we wince at the amount of red dye no. 40 he is consuming. Since we have cocktails a lot at home, we knew it was time to make our own dye-free cherries that would be much better for his health.
