A year or so after acquiring the farm, we attempted to drill a couple of wells for water on our new property. It turned out to be more difficult than we thought. Little did we know the farm was sitting on a thick blanket of shale. The wells we drilled would either produce very little water or collapse in on themselves within a matter of weeks.
