Every year in mid-October, we prepare the ground to receive thousands of garlic cloves that will grow into plump heads to harvest the following year. Because of the sheer number of cloves, this planting is always a full team effort. Many hands make light work and the task is complete in about two hours. Once we’ve finished, we head back to the barn kitchen to make a pot of bagna càuda with the remaining cloves that didn’t quite make the cut. We enjoy it with an array of our fall vegetables
