Always a great favorite at Lent, when my family goes meatless, these hand pies have become a year-round go-to now that so many of our customers and friends are eating less meat. I find they fly off of a holiday buffet table, and they work well for picnics, too, as they can be served at room temperature. The ground nuts make them a bit heartier than the usual spinach pie.
