Or prawns, as we would say.
Put the vinegar into a large pan. Add the spices and simmer for about 30 minutes. Add the prawns, bring to the boil and cook for another 5 minutes. Transfer the prawns to a bowl and leave to cool. Stir in the parsley and arrange onion and lime slices over the top. Serve chilled.
