I’m quite proud of this simple little dish, created entirely on the spur of the moment from an abundance of glorious ingredients offered to me by our genial hosts at the Iron Horse Vineyard in Sonoma County. Its special flavour comes from the Meyer lemons – little Californian delights which are a sort of cross between a lemon and a tangerine. Sadly, unless you’re planning a trip to Sonoma County, the closest you can probably get is to use a mixture of lemon and orange juice. Similarly I use
