Tired? Jaded? Tastebuds blunted by red meat, rich sauces? Bored with over-complicated food? You are? So sometimes am I. And the perfect solution is this:

First, cook some globe artichokes in plenty of boiling salted water until an outside leaf comes away easily when you pull it. This usually takes at least 30 minutes. Drain and cool. Remove the hearts, discarding the leaves and scraping
