Who wants plain rice all the time – not me! This is scrumptious with A Burmese Chicken Curry.


  • 450 g (1 lb) long-grain rice, thoroughly rinsed
  • 1 onion, chopped


Measure the rice in cups and transfer to a large pan. For each cup of rice, add 2 cups of water to the pan. Stir in the onion, coconut, salt and a few drops of oil or a good knob of butter.
