  • 500 g/1 lb 2 oz green vegetables, such as chopped purple sprouting broccoli, asparagus


  1. Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil, add the vegetables and boil until just cooked, then drain and put to one side.
  2. Add the stock, vegetable oil, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar and salt to the pan and bring to the boil, then add the vegetables. Stir in the cornflour mixture and cook, stirring, until the mixture has thickened.
