  • About

The spaghetti squash has been cultivated in America for centuries and is often preserved as a kind of jam. This uniquely Chilean preserve is not only used for spreading on bread, but is also eaten on its own as a dessert or as a filling for sweet empanadas. Preparing this unusual sweet treat at home is very satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 spaghetti squash
  • 675 g/ lb/ cups

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6. Bake the whole squash for 2 hours, turning every 20 minutes, until it is soft.
