I really enjoy the nostalgia of rice cooked with milk. Adding lavender sage is a throwback to Ibiza in Spain. Mary and I visited her sister Ruta there in 1991. She introduced me tofrigola, an aromatic wild thyme found throughout the island, and used in desserts and liqueurs. Lavender sage was flourishing in our back garden, and reminded me offrigola.
