Drinks in Spain were often served with something pickled, like these “banderilla” tapas mounted on a long toothpick. We got so many delicious ideas for skewered tapas in Barcelona (see Pintxos), but I love the simplicity of this one, and that a platter of them can be made well in advance. For this appetizer, you can buy jars of various pickled items or make your own.
