Tarte à la Frangipane et aux Violettes

I have spent many hours gazing at the wondrous confections displayed in the windows of French patisseries. Sometimes, to the interest of passers-by, I sketch what I see. Eventually, unable to wait any longer, I enter and buy at least one of the cakes that have fascinated me.
