Stuffed Onions

This is a perfect way to use up leftover game. Edward VII’s favorite breakfast was onions stuffed with kidneys, cream, and brandy—delicious but perhaps not for breakfast. Stuffed onions make a great supper dish and you can stuff them in advance and stick them in the oven while having your bath. The onions can either be parboiled and then roasted, or raw and then braised.
