Also known as baleela in the village of Bani Suheila, this comforting and surprisingly simple dish is particularly popular in the winter months. Um Ibrahim shared it with us, and explained that some people add tahina to lighten the color and mellow the flavor of the final dish. It has since become a favorite in both of our households.
