Guacamole is my mom’s favorite food in the world, and we had it a lot when I was growing up—usually with good-ol’ hard-shell tacos (filled with ground beef and iceberg lettuce, naturally!). She would always line the avocados up on a plate and smash them up with a fork before seasoning them.
