Method

Thoroughly combine 1 cup each raisins, sultanas, sugar, and whole blanched almonds, and 1 cup [total] of finely chopped dried figs, candied peel, and lemon rind. Stir in a little ground clove and cinnamon, almost 1 cup flour, and 3 small eggs. Spread the mixture as thick as a finger on wafers arranged in several rows. Dry out in a summer oven and cover with chocolate icing.
