  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Spread one side of each piece of bread with butter and place butter-side down in the heated pan. Place 1 piece of cheese on each piece of bread and heat until the cheese is melted and the underside of the bread is golden brown.
  2. Place any of the optional fillings on 2 of the slices of bread, then top with another slice
