Klein aber fein was a platter I often ate in a terrace restaurant in Wiesbaden, Germany. It means “small but good” and it was a variety of vegetables, a big helping of whipped potatoes, and a silver-dollar-sized beefsteak. The amount of meat in this is a mere schmeckt too, so choose a couple of nonstarchy vegetables to serve with it. This is a main course.
