Ingredients

  • Jordan almonds ½ lb.
  • fresh butter 2 oz.
  • cayenne pepper and

Method

  1. Blanch the almonds.
  2. Wipe them dry.
  3. Put the butter into a frying-pan.
  4. Make it hot.
  5. Add the almonds.
  6. Fry till of a good brown colour.
  7. Drain on a hair sieve.
  8. Strew over cayenne pepper and salt and serve up hot, as a savoury.
