  • 1 pound salt cod fillets
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Method

Soak cod fillets in cold water for at least 12 hours, changing the water often. Place drained cod fillets in a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Remove from the fire, cover saucepan and let cod simmer gently in water for 10 minutes. Strain cod, remove bones and skin, and flake fish with a fork.

Place cod flakes in electric blender with crushed garlic,
