Spaghetti with Mushroom Sauce

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons

Method

Combine olive oil and butter in a heavy-bottomed iron cocotte or casserole and sauté chopped onions until they are golden but not brown. Add sliced mushrooms, crushed garlic, salt and pepper to taste, and simmer with onions, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and herbs and simmer for 30 minutes.
