This is the perfect drink for a warm, summer’s day. It makes the most of the seasonal fruits with an added hint of rose.


  • 340 g ripe strawberries, roughly chopped
  • 4 sticks of rhubarb, roughly chopped

Using a heavy based saucepan, place the fruit and sugar over a low heat, stir gently and heat through until the sugar has melted and the fruit begins to soften and release its juices.
