For great barbecue, say “Open sesame.” The tiny seeds add a great nutty flavor to rubs. This one gives you a triple blast of sesame flavor, with white sesame seeds, toasted sesame seeds, and black sesame seeds (the last are available at Japanese markets). It goes particularly well with grilled fish and vegetables, as well as with grilled pork and chicken. Use 2 to 3 teaspoons per pound. Unlike most rubs, Sesame Seasoning tastes best sprinkled on after the food comes off the grill.
