This is near to being the ONLY kind of sauce served in some parts of North Carolina. Incredible on a sandwich of pulled pork shoulder served on hamburger buns. Add a little of the mustard-based cole slaw and you’re in hog heaven, North Carolina style.
In a medium saucepan, combine ingredients, stirring to blend. Over low heat, simmer 30 minutes, stirring until thoroughly blended Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour before using.
