DREI IM WEGGLA (PRONOUNCED DRY IM VECK-LA, LITERALLY “THREE IN A BREAD roll” in Nuremberg dialect) is Germany’s answer to the hot dog: a trio of pork sausages served sandwich-style on a hamburger bun. The street food is found mostly in Nuremberg, and the traditional Nürnberger Rostbratwurst (small, thin bratwurst cooked on a grill) in the bun is made only in that city.
