Salsa verde is a green salsa made using tomatillos, a small green fruit similar to a tomato. It has a deliciously fresh flavor, and in addition to making a great hot dog topping, it’s a perfect salsa for chips. Give it a try on any of your favorite American dogs for an extra kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound tomatillos, skinned and halved
  • 2 medium tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 small white onion

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place tomatillos, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños on a baking sheet and roast for 15 to 20 minutes
