At last, a dark moist chocolate winter wonderland! This is the cake I designed for Alexandra Foote and Daniel Patterson when they married on Epiphany, January 6, 2007. It is the large version of my German chocolate cake base. I was amazed to discover that even though this cake is light, moist, and tender, it has just enough structure to be made as large as twelve inches and also to support three tiers on top. The cake’s three tiers are two layers each and syruped with milk chocolate ganache
