This fresh-tasting recipe from chef B Adamo, head chef at Hog Island Oyster Bar in Larkspur, makes use of spring vegetables like green garlic, leeks, and tender herbs. Look for green garlic, which is harvested before the bulb develops, at farmers’ markets. It adds a mild garlic flavor to these steamed mussels and to other dishes. The leeks and herbal liqueur add more green notes to the broth.
