Fig and Frangelico Cake

Figs are widely grown in Portugal, Turkey, and Spain, and in California, home of the Williams Sonoma Test Kitchen. In early fall, we like to use the soft, floral, honeyed fruit in this tender cake, which is flavored with Frangelico and a bit of cinnamon and topped with whipped cream.
