These are my mother’s favorite scones because they’re decadent without being overly sweet. When you grind the toasted walnuts, you are almost inevitably going to have leftovers. Refrigerate any extra and throw them into your next batch of pancakes, oatmeal, or just sprinkle on yogurt. When you’ve owned restaurants long enough, it pains you to throw away something you can use.
I love serving these either plain or with lightly sweetened Whipped Cream
