  • 1 lb peaches – stoned and sliced
  • 12 oz blackberries – washed and hulled
  • 2

Method

Toss fruit gently but evenly in an even mixture of the cornflour and sugar. Stew together gently in a covered saucepan until the juices are running nicely and begin to thicken. Stir.

Butter a wide pie dish very generously. Pour fruit into dish. Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Rub in the butter evenly. Stir in the sugar. Make a well in the centre and pour in a mixture of the milk
