Shahi tukri is a toast cooked in milk, ghee and khoa (dried fresh whole milk). It becomes so delicious that it is hardly possible to discover its basis.
Cut rectangular pieces of bread and discard the hard crust. Fry them in the ghee till golden brown. Heat the milk and dissolve in it the saffron and sugar. Pour it over the browned slices of bread and allow them to soak for a few minutes.
