Piedmont is truly the land of truffles, and there are myriad recipes using them, such as these rich and filling little canapés. Truffles are a luxurious ingredient and can be very expensive, but this is a perfect recipe for an indulgent dinner party since they can be made in advance and taste divine.

Ingredients

  • 9 slices white or brown bread
  • 115 g/4 oz/

Method

  1. Cut 18 circles out of the slices of bread using a 7.5 cm/3 in round pastry or cookie cutter and toast them all lightly.
