Mâche & Egg Salad

Sugar-sweet green radicchio zuccherino is found only on the island of Istria and in northeastern Italy; a good substitute is mâche (lamb’s lettuce). This simple yet bold salad comes from Lidia Bastianich, who adds garlic in thick slices so the garlic-shy can pick it out easily. “If you don’t mind the garlic, chop it finely,” she says.
