Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte

Matcha powder itself is very strong and bitter, so you only need a small amount in this trendy drink. It’s also delicious served hot and works well with plant-based milks.



  • 600 ml (21 fl oz) milk
  • ice cubes


  • 4 teaspoons light brown sugar
  • 15 g (½ oz) matcha powder (green tea powder), plus extra to serve


Pour the milk into a bowl, add the sugar and mix until the sugar has dissolved.

Sift the matcha powder into a bowl. Add a small amount of the sugared milk and beat with a small whisk until combined.

Divide the rest of the sugared milk among four glasses filled with ice cubes. Pour in the whisked matcha and whisk to create a froth. Dust with some extra matcha powder to serve.
