These are essentially candy, a garnish or post-dessert nibble that you shouldn’t count on to fill anyone up. Having said that, I’ll tell you that everyone I know who’s sampled these has found them delightful.
Don’t make a special trip to the store for corn syrup; its contribution is negligible. And, don’t bother to make these unless you have a mandoline; the slices must be paper-thin, impossible to cut with a knife.
