This delicious dish comes from Jerusalem, where whole fish are wrapped in filo pastry and served with a zesty tomato sauce. However, it is more contemporary to prepare this dish using fresh filleted fish or fish steaks.

Ingredients

  • 450 g/1 lb salmon or cod steaks or fillets
  • 1 lemon

Method

  1. Sprinkle the salmon or cod steaks or fillets with salt and black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice. Set aside while you prepare the sauce.
