Orange Salad

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

I rarely serve sweet desserts at the end of a meal, preferring fruit instead for a refreshing finale, but this easy-to-make dessert provides a perfect finish. Like the strawberries with candied ginger, this does not require cooking and the oranges can be prepared well in advance.


  • 4 large oranges
  • handful shredded basil leaves


  1. Peel the oranges and with a small sharp knife, slice them horizontally into pieces 0.5 cm(ΒΌ in) thick. P
  2. Arrange on a platter, garnish with the basil and serve.

P Can be prepared ahead: cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours.
