This is a spicy, savoury way to prepare walnuts to be served either as a snack with drinks or as a crunchy addition to other stir-fry dishes. Prepared this way, the walnuts lend themselves to many uses; use your imagination and experiment with them. You may want to try them with Crispy Cabbage (see opposite) instead of using the sugar walnuts. If the walnuts get soft before they are used, you may re-crisp them by heating in a warm oven.
