In this protein-rich snack, eggs, nuts, green chili peppers and garlic simmer in a glaze of soy sauce and corn syrup. The garlic becomes mellowed and slightly sweet and the nuts taste candied. This is great picnic food.
To make the glaze, in a small saucepan combine the Sweet Soy Base Sauce, water and corn syrup. Mix well.
Add the hard-boiled eggs and walnuts and cook over low heat for 2 minutes. Stir to coat the eggs, walnuts and garlic cloves, if using.
